US - go to the source

In America, a journalists job has just got more difficult as the courts have ruled no-one is entitled to promise confidentiality to a source. Whistle-blowers everywhere will take note. That'll please the government and mark a starck contrast with the glory days of American journalism in the 1970's when confidential sources provided key information on the Vietnam war (the Pentagon Papers) and Watergate more from the BBC...

Hi there - a few comments on the new layout.

Nice and businesslike - although I've a tinge of nostaliga for the old wave blue lines which I rather liked.

I like the little caption at the top, but I've got a few suggestions for improvements (let's discuss later).

Nice set of stories, but it's not really daily is it (re your claim at the top of the blog)? I'd take out that word if I was you.

The righthand margin is fine!!

Why not send the link to a wider circle of folks? A survey of your current readership reveals a rather limited set profile - all white female housewife.

All the best and good luck with the blog
